Last Pict by Rick Boven
LAST PICT introduces you to young Evan Cleary, though you’ve known him your whole life. You might have rolled your eyes when he ended up on your team during gym class, or cut him in the lunch line. Sadly, Evan doesn’t have many friends and his attempts to remedy that situation don’t always go as planned. Evan’s story opens in the Principal’s office where he has just been drug out from the wrong side of a schoolyard scuffle. It seems his classmates do not appreciate his latest attempt to gain their favor: drawing their portraits. As he sits and clutches his drawings, he can’t help but wonder why they didn’t impress. But as his father, a gruff man none too happy to be pulled from his construction site, plops down in the Principal’s office, Evan learns that his bullying may just be beginning.
LAST PICT is a short cartoon story that deals with the inside of being an outsider. With each panel it gives a peek into the circumstances that may have developed the weirdos, spazes, and freaks you’ve known your whole life. Originally penned in early 2005 and drawn one year later, this is the first installment of author Rick Boven’s extensive, unreleased back catalog, and has never before been published. LAST PICT will make you take a second look at the first glance by which we often judge one another.

Oliver Caine's In Trouble Again by William Kondylis
Unforgettable and wildly original, Oliver Caine's in Trouble Again by Australian writer William Kondylis is a real page-turner that teaches young readers to follow their dreams-and where to look for trouble. For fans of The Spiderwick Chronicles and The Dragon Rider, this new world voyage offers an imaginative madcap adventure in which characters defy what's expected of them in order to stay alive. It's hard to believe twelve-year-old thrill-seeking Oliver Caine ever said his life was boring. What he wouldn't give for a humdrum day! And while Oliver has always been a boy to find trouble, it isn't until he is transported to a new world with his nagging, condescending half-sister Sarah and his best friend Peter, a really timid foodie, that big trouble gets an upper hand. It comes in the form of an ancient text, a tome that Oliver, Sarah, and Peter must understand before they can survive it. As they dodge aggressive seven-foot lizards, a fierce two-headed Cyclops, and a sorcerer with a strong resemblance to their science teacher, they'll be guided by the spirit-guarded Pool of Prophecy and a gentle wizard. But it's the stuff they find in themselves that will make the difference.

A Warrior's Witch by Stacey Kennedy
Decades old guilt collide with a murder, igniting a battle in a warrior’s soul to choose between love and duty…
Murder has brought Talon, Master of Guardians, as well as Zia, his witch and Master of Witches, to Chicago. The manner of death appears to be a suicide, but Talon is far from ready to close the case. To avenge the Guardian linked to his past, he agrees to take on the assignment, and find her killer.
As they dive deeper into the investigation, they find themselves entering a world where BDSM is the norm. A lifestyle that Zia is uncomfortable with and, rattled by this new development, she is more than ready to return to the Otherworld. But their investigation quickly takes an unexpected twist when they discover that they’re not only hunting a killer but also someone who is controlling supernaturals in Chicago.
Their mission not only brings danger, but also forces Talon to deal with decades old guilt that corrodes his soul. Every event that unfolds only deepens his fight and pushes him to face an ultimate choice—what is more important—his duty to the Otherworld or the witch he holds closest to his heart?

Second Cousins by Douglas Roberts
Second Cousins is a science fiction novel set in the present day. It is hard science fiction, which should not be too surprising, given that Frederich Pohl, Larry Niven, and Joe Haldeman are some of my favorite authors. This book is about 60,000 words in length and is a story about the discovery of another, advanced civilization.
Blood For Love by Chris M. Finkelstein
This is the story of Jan, a gifted male D'otian living on a violent, predatory planet. His mother Martha is part of a love-preservation network, outlawed by a world in which love is punished by DeathBT.
Riser by Becca Smith
Black swirling holes churning madly in the center of every corpse. This is how eighteen-year-old Chelsan Derée sees the deceased. Her ability to connect to the black spinning holes allows her to control every dead thing within a four-mile radius. But that's the least of her problems. It's 2320 and Chelsan Derée has to survive another year of high school, which for her is pure and utter torture, mainly due to the fact that her schoolmate Jill Forester's favorite activity is making Chelsan's life a living hell. If that isn't enough, Chelsan's impossible crush on Ryan Vaughn makes her brain do somersaults on a regular basis, especially since she is positive he doesn't know she exists. And being eighteen Chelsan has to deal with the pressure of whether or not she should take a little pill called Age-pro, which cures aging, making the world eighteen forever and highly over-populated. When Chelsan's mother, Janet, is brutally killed, along with everyone else in her trailer park, Chelsan finds out that she was the intended target. Chelsan must use her power to raise and control the dead to save herself, protect her friends and take down the man responsible for murdering her mother.
Acadia Book I by Ali Naqvi
It was only a nightmare at first, but Damont soon realizes that he can see into the future—a curse he has to live with for being the only son of a king dead for a thousand years, with a mother who is the goddess of time.
A man in black armor with a face as obscure as the shadows mantling him laughs wickedly. Who is he and why does he continue to haunt me, Damont wonders. Appearing only in his dreams, the man in the black armor stands alone and laughs high as if to mock him while the world around him burns to cinder. “They are not dreams, my son,” a voice calls out to him in a vision after the many nightmares—claiming to be his mother whom abandoned him when he was but a child. “They are shards of a broken world to come if you so take the path of your father.” If such a path does lie ahead beyond a throne that sits vacant for centuries, with an empire in the east growling for war, then Damont Langörn realizes he has but one choice: follow the visions and seek out the truth lost to both him and the world behind his lineage—but will he be strong enough to face such a malevolent foe of his nightmares?
With a vampire and a sorceress at his side, Damont begins his journey, but such a road is not an easy one to take if the gods themselves do not wish for his return as the king who would unite the world against their existence and bring demise to their very doorstep.

Xannu: The Prophecy by Paul Dorset
For fans of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and The Narnia Chronicles, the first installment in a thrilling epic fantasy series…
Would you wake up in a hot sweat if you lived your night’s dreams as a soldier battling un-earthly creatures, witnessing powerful magic and fighting to save your own life on a daily basis?
English schoolboy Terry West does. Frequently. After digging up some rune coins near a roman road, he has been living in another world inhabited by warlocks, seductresses, priests and prophecy. There Terry is a soldier, Teern Truthbringer, who has been tasked with finding the Xannu - 'he who will lead the people into deliverance.'
If only it wasn’t real; but it is. Very real. When it all began it was even enjoyable, but now Terry’s life is getting very complicated. Somehow he involved his best friend Joe and although it had seemed a good idea at the time, the consequences had been dire. Then there is Susan, the leggy sister of klutzy school-friend Brian. Why does she keep sending him messages?
Terry is struggling to balance the two lives he leads and every day he is losing his grip on reality just a little bit more. He’s been forced to kill enemies; his companion, the magical woman Maria, is scaring him half to death with her abilities; and his parents are on his back about his school work.
How will he balance the two lives he leads, solve two sets of problems, and understand the lessons he receives from both? Only time will tell. But time is something Terry doesn't have too much of, as everything is unfolding in ways he could never have imagined!

True of Blood by Bonnie Lamer Book I in the Faery Witch Series
"I have a television so I know what a family is supposed to look like but mine is nothing like that. To begin with, both my parents are dead. Not the kind of dead where you bury them in the ground, say some nice words, cry a lot and then never see them again. Nope, when they died they refused to ‘go into the light’ or whatever it is you’re supposed to do when you die. Instead, they came back home. As ghosts. Have you ever been sent to your room by a parent who has no corporeal form? I have and it sucks..."
Xandra Illuminata Smith has lived for the last three years with ghosts as parents but her life gets even stranger after her seventeenth birthday when she finds out that her mother is actually a Witch in hiding and her biological father, whom she knew nothing about, is a Fairy and King of the Fae realm.
Xandra is the first Witch Fairy to be born in thousands of years for very good reason. No one should be able to control that much magic and Xandra was never meant to be born at all but her mother has manged to keep her hidden away until now.
The Witches want her dead and the Fairies want her blood, for only her blood will reopen the gateway to the Fae realm and allow them back into this realm to take revenge on humans and Witches alike for having banished them hundreds of years ago.
Xandra has very little time to learn how to use her powerful Witch and Fairy magic that has been bound since her birth while running from the Fairies who managed to jump realms and want to take her blood to set the others free. She needs someone to teach her and her parents enlist the help of one powerful Fairy who claims to want to keep the realms closed to each other. He will help keep her safe and alive as she learns, at least that's what he says...

Cameo the Assassin by Dawn McCollough-White
Cameo the Assassin, a historical novel from Dawn McCullough-White, is an
engaging, fast-paced romp about highwaymen, assassins, Lockenwood
vampires, their victims, and their evaders in an age when "who knew
there were so many vampires running around."
Cameo, an alias for Gwen, "the thrall of a vampire," has two masters to serve. One is Wick, the aging, spell-casting head of the Association of Assassins, who assigns missions to the battle-scarred Cameo. The other is Haffef, Cameo's vampire "Master," who years ago rescued her from certain death after her vicious rape and beating and a deadly attack upon her younger sister. The one wants her to kill the prince of the Kingdom of Sieunes; the other wants her to unearth her sister's bones and return them to him. Her life is further conflicted when she agrees to become the bodyguard for Kyrian, a fifteen-year-old acolyte healer who needs to travel to the Temple of the Sun at King's Basin. As she balances her missions and battles the forces of evil set against her on all sides, she overcomes assassins sent to kill her, seeks revenge against highwaymen who have robbed her of her namesake cameo brooch, develops an arms-length relationship with one of the brigands, and confronts Wick in a deadly duel.

Predators of Darkness by Leonard D. Hilley II
The desolate streets of downtown Pittsburgh in 2073 are a reminder of
the missile attack that forever changed the lives of the surviving
scientists and students hidden in the fallout shelter of Helmsby's
Genetic Research Center. Believing themselves to be the only survivors,
they station themselves inside the center until food supplies near
depletion. Thinking the fallout has lessened, they emerge three years
later to discover strange creatures patrolling the streets in search of
human flesh and blood. The creatures possess the ability to shift their
genomes and alter their appearances by realigning their genetic
sequences. Daniel Hutchinson, their leader, teams with Lucas Ridale and
together they set out to scavenge the area for food and supplies with
the hope to find other survivors. But Daniel's most recent journey
uncovers mysteries more frightening than the shifters. He discovers the
tip of Pittsburgh has been fenced off from the rest of the area.
Low-flying helicopters observe the streets, making him ponder the
question: Were the shifters released as simply part of a military
experiment with humans being their prey?

hopeful about life than any human he has encountered. He must have her.

way to free the souls of the wrongfully damned. His long-time enemy,
the Collector, has other plans. Here to chastise him, he takes great

Light of the Wicked by Fred Hurr
Penrhos Bay was a quiet seaside town, until the demons came. No
fairgrounds, no loud blaring music, no tacky tourist shops, or boozy
backstreet bars and seedy nightclubs. A place where nothing significant
ever happened. It was a nice, picturesque, safe place beside the sea.
Now murder, violence, kidnap and drunkenness on the streets despoil this
once genial and delightful place. So why did a local Curate
jump to his death off a church tower? Why did the Vicar scatter his
ashes in unconsecrated ground? Why did the thief steal the church
offerings and then put it all back? Do the new Curate and his young
wife fully realize just what they are getting into in coming to Penrhos
Bay? Despite the clean appearance of whitewashed villas and
neat Victorian hotels on the esplanade, the quaintness of Saturday
deckchair concerts and the traditional Punch and Judy shows on the old
wooden pier, pure wickedness abounds. Unseen by the town's people, a
dire struggle is being fought between the forces of good and evil. A
struggle which will soon impact every one of the inhabitants, including
the angels and demons. Author Fred Hurr was born and raised in London
and currently resides in Conwy, North Wales. Hurr has been writing
since he was a teenager and his desire to write has been inspired by
great writers like George Orwell, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway
and, more recently, by the Swedish author Henning Mankell. In his
professional life, the author is self-employed as a Construction Safety
Consultant. His work has taken him to places all over the world.

Lakebridge Spring by Natasha Troop
Vermont, picturesque and lovely, attracts visitors from across the country in search for the perfect picture, the perfect fall foliage or perhaps a taste of maple syrup. Stansbury is best known for the odd covered bridge that spans Stansbury Lake and goes nowhere, connecting no roads and serving no known purpose. The locals call it the Lakebridge. Very few know of its mysterious origins and fewer care to know more. Those visiting the town perhaps take a few snapshots and leave, their curiosity quelled by an uneasy feeling that they shouldn’t think on it anymore.
The tourists will eventually leave Stansbury, but its residents strangely linger, seemingly held captive by a force they barely recognize. They also do not think about the town’s mysterious artifact much except in passing, all but Gil, his father, Ben, and a few others. They know of the bridge’s dark history and understand that it is responsible for every horror that ever befell the people of Stansbury: the people who fear the bridge but will not speak of it. The bridge makes people do things – bad things – so that it can continue to love and care for them all.
Some have tried to destroy the bridge, but as long as the bridge is fed with the lives of the innocents of Stansbury it will go on – loving the people of Stansbury.

Hide and Seek: A Murder Mystery by Thomas Kaplan Maxfield
A pre-Internet murder mystery set on Cape Cod in the 1980s, Hide and Seek tells a murder mystery backwards: we know the identity of the murderer, but not that of the detective. David Draper, scion of an old, wealthy Boston family, meets the lovely actress Melanie Carson at one of his Aunt Grace’s fabulous Beacon Hill costume parties. As they become romantically involved, David grows increasingly and wildly jealous of the elusive, secretive, and ultimately disloyal Melanie, finally murdering her in her North End apartment in a fit of rage.
Because David has covered his tracks, Detective Gallivan of the Boston Police does not suspect him of the crime, and David feels he is in the clear. But six months later, David’s close sister Dorothy (Dots) invites both David and their Aunt Grace to a Murder Mystery Weekend at an old courthouse turned venerable hotel on a tiny island just off the east coast of Cape Cod.
David is hesitant, but his suspicions turn to alarm as he realizes that someone among the cast of participants in the murder mystery weekend is out to catch the murderer of Melanie. When the pretend corpse is dressed, down to Melanie’s unusual lipstick color, to resemble Melanie, David becomes convinced one of the guests is in fact a real detective on the hunt.
Unfortunately for David, everyone in the game must play detective, and so everyone looks suspicious! It’s a race against time as David must determine motive and opportunity to figure out the real detective before said detective fingers David as the real murderer. His work is complicated by the fact that he is unnervingly assigned the part of the secret murderer in the game they are ostensibly playing. He must detect the detective among guests that include the effete British Lord Alfred; a hard-boiled insurance salesman from Providence, Rhode Island; a beautiful female psychologist from Boston; David’s own Miss Marple-like aunt and his Nancy Drewish sister; and even a Boston priest, Father Cerubini. Or could the detective be the mysterious and sullen hotelier John Fredericks or, perhaps, his crazy wife-in-the-attic Elaine? Or is it, after all, the one person at the weekend game who is an actual detective as well as friend of Aunt Grace, Detective Gallivan from Boston?
As David finds to his horror, each member of the cast has not only a connection to Melanie but also a reason to want to avenge her murderer. David must carefully outwit the stealth detective by intuiting his way through a reverse mystery in which the game is deadly serious—and what he thinks is serious might be but the tricks of paranoia. Are the guests out to get David as the game murderer, or is their pursuit much more than a game?
Hide and Seek is a psychologically suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat page-turner that weaves together strands of the major genres of crime fiction, from British detective puzzle to American hard-boiled whodunit, from old Miss Marple detective to Nancy Drew girl-sleuth, from scientist and doctor to patient, from priest to sinner.

Michael Jordan and the Slam Dunk Suicide Cult by Nick Vandermolen
Its been called “…The most wildly offensive book of 2011,” for its themes and dialogue. Its mere plot summary has been labeled truly “dangerous territory,” by fellow authors and sports fans alike. Nick Vandermolen’s Michael Jordan and the Slam Dunk Suicide Cult will test your boundaries, force self-exploration of accepted racial and cultural taboos, and might even release these tensions with laughter at the absurdity of it all.
From page one of Michael Jordan and the Slam Dunk Suicide Cult readers are thrust into a strange and grotesque basketball camp for boys. Forget dribbling. Throw lay-ups out the window. The “Monster Dunk Basketball Camp for Kids” teaches young ones only the “fundamentals” of basketball – Slam Dunking. However, it doesn’t take long before the true nature of this evil camp is revealed. When the boys show a lack of star-power because they can’t dunk, the camp counselor Darko Milicic takes matters into his own hands. Darko throws the children down a well. His theory is simple; extend a rope ladder down the well and raise it to the exact height of a slam dunk. If the children can jump and reach it, they can also slam dunk. But it is within this imprisonment of inability that we get a fresh look at race, exploitation, and the power of a modern day sports icon; Michael Jordan.
This story examines racism, hero worship and sports in a way most authors are too afraid to tackle. Vandermolen, having worked with disenfranchised youth in the inner city of Chicago for nearly three years, gives us an authentic look at the culture of “street kids,” without a chaser. He emulates the rough dialect perfectly, highlighting its uniqueness as well as its vulgarity. To many readers the story’s speech and themes may seem crude and off-putting. But this urge to shun what is uncomfortable, and the distillation of such a culture is ultimately what Michael Jordan and the Slam Dunk Suicide Cult is all about. This modern fable shows the danger of culture as commodity, and the theft of meaning from those who created it.

Once Upon A Storm by Hal Fleming
When a hurricane disrupts a music festival on Cape Cod, it flings
together the unlikely combo of a West Indian folk singer and a white
debutante on a wild journey through the turbulent times of the late
1960s. Set mostly in New England, the novel takes place against the
backdrop of the Civil Rights movement, anti-war protests and the sexual
revolution. In addition to exploring attitudes on racial integration,
this fast-paced mystery uncovers acts of deceit and betrayal, while
finding love and heroism in unexpected places. In Once Upon a Storm,
after the hurricane erupts, a young white woman is found nude and
disoriented on a beach road. A fire-ravaged yacht is discovered nearby
with the bodies of the yacht owner and two crewmen onboard. An hour too
late, the town's sheriff connects the young woman to the boat accident,
but she has already taken off for Boston with the folk singer. The young
couple become fugitives and is later assaulted by the brother of the
dead yachtsman. They are also pursued by the police, the woman's
eccentric father, and others. Their flight takes them into the heart of
Boston's Roxbury neighborhood, where the debutante for the first time
confronts black inner city life and hostility.
Where Dreams Are Born by Joyce DeBacco
It
was supposed to be a win-win situation—a safe environment in which to raise a
son for single mom Vicky, housekeeping and childcare for widowed Jack. Believing
they’ve had their shot at happiness, neither is looking to complicate their
lives with a romantic entanglement. At first Jack sees Vicky as skinny and
plain, guarded with him, but openly warm with his children, an important quality
for a man who grew up in the foster care system. However, his growing attraction
to the woman who scrubs his toilets and washes his underwear endangers their
good working relationship. Vicky, too, is reluctant to get involved, having been
down that road before with disastrous results.
When Jack learns his best friend fathered Vicky’s son and now wants partial custody, he feels threatened. He’s come to care deeply for both, and doesn’t want to lose the family they’ve become. In desperation he offers a radical solution—marriage. Vicky knows she can do worse than marry Jack, but wonders how successful their marriage would be when its only reason for being was to keep from losing her son. Add to this a troubled child with a secret about her dead mother and a vindictive ex bent on revenge and complications abound.

Mine by Lin Sten
Selena Castillo publicly claims to be an extraterrestrial. Is it a joke, a delusion, a gimmick, or a reality?
Tony Sturgess must believe that Selena’s claim is only a publicity stunt, or that she is insane, as he falls in love with her, because he still struggles with the racism of his white-supremacist childhood; otherwise, he is certainly the right talent agent to exploit the gimmick, despite her radical environmentalism.
Professor Hal Bronson, on the other hand, is desperate to believe Selena’s claim after he is labeled a “crackpot” for hypothesizing that the SETI silence is due to a global technological catastrophe that every advancing civilization must face: she might be a witness.
But if Earth is to be saved, from whom and for whom will it be?
Through humor, romance, and suspense, Mine entertains while its human characters resolve a case of mistaken insanity.

7 Kinds of Catrastophes by Amber Kizer
Cover Blurb:
Okay, so here’s the deal: there are books about volcanoes erupting and
meteorites hitting Earth and plane crashes where the survivors have to eat
people—those are extraordinary crises. That’s not what this book is about. I’m
more the ordinary catastrophe type. This second semester of my sophomore year,
there are basically 7 KINDS OF ORDINARY CATASTROPHES:
- HIGH SCHOOL. I’m assigned the dreaded essay that drive at least one student off a bridge each year. And I’m so not into the rah-rah, yet I have to take a trip to the emergency room because of a pep rally.
- BOYS. Having a boyfriend who kisses like a vacuum cleaner begs the question of what’s wrong here. Am I the bad kisser? If I don’t like kissing him, does that mean I’m gay?
- HEARTBREAK. Being dumped via a note referencing Dr. Phil is pretty bad, but getting revenge feels really fantastic.
- FAMILY. I basically need o get my brother engaged while saving my family from my mom’s killer cooking. Then there’s Dad, the disastrous birthday cake I make him (those baking shows lie), and his unrelated (I hope) hospitalization, which makes me doubt everything I’ve ever counted on.
- JOB. My unfulfilling job smells of rancid grease, and none of the customers seem to appreciate my attempts to save their lives. Is this worth minimum wage?
- FRIENDS. New friends like Clarice and Maggie rope me into schemes and drama, while my best friend, Adam, has to get comfortable in his own skin whether he want to or not.
- FUTURE. There are decisions and colleges and lots of scary things….

Peace at the Edge of Uncertainty by Neil Hanson
A story of family and a journey through Faith, though not in a traditional sense. The author explores the "coming together" of a family around the deathbed of the patriarch. With a style that is highly personal, the narrator describes the revelations, discoveries, and growth that occurs within these relationships during the several days of "coming together".Like so many families today in our world of highly effective medicine and life-support, the family in this story faces the difficult and wrenching questions our culture must face: When does life begin and end? What are the complexions of distinction between bare and primitive "life" on the one hand, and "human-ness" on the other hand? Where and when and how do we "play G-d" with our decisions to withhold feeding tubes and respirators? How do we face these questions, and work our way to effective answers?Woven through the story are descriptions of magical and mystical encounters that inform and guide the life of the narrator, helping to open honest questions about how "religion" aids or obstructs the journey through Faith that most people are called to explore.

Destined to Live, Despite Me - Biblical Truths For Sucide Survivors by Yolanda Shanks
Destined To Live, Despite Me speaks on the topic of suicide directly to
the actual attempter in terms of spiritual direction, after they have
sought counseling. It's coffee table tone also invites anyone, including
individuals who may not have ever contemplated suicide, but who simply
need direction in living a meaningful and purposeful life built on
biblical truth. While D2LDM steers clear of giving medical or
psychological guidance (The author understands and supports the need of
individuals obtaining necessary medical counseling first), it doesn’t
apologize for its direct approach in providing spiritual guidance for
the rebuilding of one’s life on the fundamentals of our faith in God,
and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The author understands that choosing to deliberately live life to its fullest; in peace and freedom, yet not absent from the storms of life, which are certain to come, but “through” the torrent conditions during this journey requires something other than “a name and claim it attitude” or “a wishful thinking mindset.” It demands faith in our Creator to perform the work that He has begun in us.

She Shall Stand by Hortense Duarma Grimes
In
a world of ever-increasing demands, variations and inconsistencies, how
does one carve a content, meaningful, functional existence?
Liberian-American author Hortense Duarma Grimes utilizes wisdom, humor,
spiritual insight and personal accounts to inspire readers to overcome
adversity, trample ordeals, and turn trials into triumphs. She Shall
Stand delivers a message of hope and encouragement for everyday living.
Stories of an African upbringing provide a warm and vivid window into a
different time and culture. Hilarious stories tell of the author's
adjustment as an immigrant. Ms. Grimes gives a testimony of the power of
prayer and faith. She tells of the unending capacity of God's grace and
love when one places intimate trust in Jesus Christ. She calls readers
to utilize the option of "never quitting" and a reminder that
"perseverance will yield good results, every time." She Shall Stand
narrates the formation and purpose of the author's ministry, an outreach
for spiritual motivation and self-rehabilitation, which has a motto of
"helping hurting people help themselves." Ms. Grimes shares the
blueprint of that Outreach with a vision to construct Christian
spiritual retreat centers in the four corners of Africa. In a masterful
introduction of this page-turner, Grimes recaptures human existence and
asserts: "Every day mankind waits. We wait for the dawn to break; we
wait for dusk to fall. We wait to rise up and begin daily activities; we
wait to settle down at the end of each day. In villages, towns, and
cities we wait; we awake and wait for something to set our paths in
motion. ... People are continuously waiting, life becomes a long journey
of wait-watch and wait-wait and see." The author offers a poignant
message: "Therefore, life's variations and inconsistencies should not
prevent our living abundantly and making good use of the time we have
been allotted on this earth. An accounting will be required of each of
us, and it must be explained what we've made of God's gift-the gift of
life."

28 Day Financial Reniassance by Osiola Henderson
If your teachers would have taught you as much about money as they did
about Shakespeare in school, do you believe that your finances would be
in better shape today? In life, you can correct a lot of mistakes
but the hardest mistakes to correct are those relating to your personal
finances. Saving and getting out of debt is highly rated on the New
Year's resolution list each and every year but unfortunately you haven't
been able to make much progress. You have tried to make changes, tried
to limit your spending, even tried to hold off the urge to shop but no
matter what you do the results are still the same. How would your
life be different if you knew a bit more about money? If you were given
the tools to get out of debt and given information about financial
issues that you face each and every day, could you then get your
finances on track? How long would it take you to learn what you needed
to know to effectively make financial decisions that will help you to
improve your financial situation? The 28 Day Financial Renaissance
is about helping you to achieve financial success. The goal is to teach
you enough to tackle financial obstacles that may come your way daily
while also equipping you to finally take advantage of some financial
opportunities. Twenty -eight days is what you will use to reinvent
yourself financially. Twenty-eight days is what it will take for your
finances to be reborn. The only question left to ask is, what are you
waiting on?

Poems That Thrill:Pearls of Wonderland by Raghavan Jayaprakash (Poetry)
Most of the poems have an autobiographical touch in them. The experiences which I had in Africa, Maldives and Malaysia provided the subject matter for the poems. The first poem, “My Dearest,” was written when I felt lonely without my wife in Maldives. The poems that refer to the sea and the fish—“Tuna” and “Tsunami”—are connected with my life in Maldives. The African village and life are depicted in some poems. They were my experiences while I was in Africa. The poem “Orang-utan” was my experience in Malaysia. The thoughts racing in my mind ever since childhood are depicted in some poems; I have not found any solution to the mystery of life and the Almighty Power which is felt but not seen. I hope that my poems will give a thrill when you read them.
