I Will Always Remember by Roland and Gwen Higginbotham was a fabulous read!  Looking into the past when segregation was deemed a major issue in the 70's,  you are sure to be enthralled with this title.

Jill Young never understood racial issues.  From a very young child,  she never saw the difference between black and white.  When going with her grandmother to visit her great aunt,  she used to watch the black children play,  wishing that she could join in with them.  She knew it wasn't allowed though,  as each race was expected to "stick to their own kind".

One day while watching the kids play,  the ball got away and landed right in front of her.  Unsure what to do as one of the kids came to retrieve the ball,  she stared blankly at the form standing in front of her.  When "Tiny",  as she decided to call him from the first day she laid eyes on him,  spoke to her,  she quickly came to the realization that they were no different than herself.

Through the years she watched from a distance.  Then high school came,  and "Tiny",  who she soon learned his real name was Mike,  attended the same school. After Mike had protected her from a boy claiming she was too good for black people,  their friendship flourished.  They were always together,  studying and hanging out,  all through their high school years.

Mike became a football hero,  and she was on the sidelines as a cheerleader.  As their relationship grew,  they endured the racial comments and gossip from their peers and other racist people from the town.  Not once did they let it interfere with their friendship.  After years of racial slander and ridicule,  they were both surprised when their relationship went a step further,  and they became lovers.

Hiding their true feelings,  they continued on their daily routines,  graduating from high school,  and both landing scholarships to college.  As they both accepted admission to separate colleges,  they took a break from each other,  letting things "relax"  as they started their studies.

The day Jill got the call from Mike that he was injured and his scholarship was gone,  she was more determined than ever to not let him give up on his dreams of finishing college.  She was waiting for the right time to talk to him about the future,  when the headlines from the newspaper caught her attention,  "Local Prairie Football Star Arrested".

Thinking of nothing else than to clear his name,   Jill returns home.  Will Jill be able to get Mike off the charges pending against him?  Even more so, will they be able to pick up where they left off?

Find out in I Will Always Remember.  The Higginbotham's did a fantastic job grabbing the readers attention from the beginning to the end of this story.  I found myself unable to put this down until I had finished it in its entirety.  I Will Always Remember is a definite page turner,  and will leave you wanting more.  Full of excitement and suspense,  you will find yourself rooting for love as well as freedom.

Spirit by Andrew Feder is a great twist on spirituality.  Delving into the world of astral projection,  this book will definitely leave you wondering..."What If".

Randall Lender went from rock bottom to being one of the world's greatest motivational speakers.  Teaching what he has learned about life,  love,  and spirituality,  Randall is beloved by most of the world,  with one minor exception...The Guilders

The Guilders,  leaders of religion who think it has to be their way or no way,  don't like what Randall teaches,  and want to see him disposed of.  When Randall cancels his schedule for the day,  he takes a much needed meditation and out of body experience.  Only today,  Randy finds himself thrusted into someone else's body.

Not understanding what happened,  Randall comes to the realization that he is in big trouble when he comes to his senses in a murderer's body.  Now facing execution,  his lawyer Sandy,  a public defender,  must learn to trust that he is actually Randall Lender in another body,  and help him to learn what happened and how to get back to his own body.

In a great spiritual warfare,  Spirit brings to light the meaning of metaphysics,  and the chances one takes during astral projection.  "What if"  it happened to you?

Feder did a fantastic job with this title,  giving insight to astral projection and constantly leaving you wondering,  "What If?"  We all know that there is a constant battle between good and evil,  a difference in religions,  leadership,  government,  but what if this is exactly what happens?

The Hunted of 2060 by Ami Blackwelder

Think forward many years and decades into the future , the world is
similar yet different than what we know exists today , technology has
advanced but not to the extreme of hovering cars and bunker houses that talk to you -think Eureka the TV Series. Though the world is still
advanced with techonolgy from robotic lunch ladies to class schedules sent on electronic devices, though in modern society I guess it won't be too long till schedules and homework is sent through cellphones and text
messaging. In terms of the animals and creatures that once roamed the
earth hiding their true forms from anybody, that has all been destroyed .
Two sisters , sent to be hidden among the human race and protected from those who hunted them are about to discover who they are and what they are. On a race against time to save themselves and the ones they love from the Rogue Militant - April and her sister along with their loved ones must do everything in their power to protect and save their kind from extinction. As April and her friend Robert are chucked into this unknown world ,will their newly found love stand the strains of time and will Robert be able to commit as he discovers what life would be with both sides of April. Her human self and the beast inside. An action packed story that keeps readers entertained and Ami the author has done a wonderful job in setting it in the future without going overboard on the futuristic like some Sci-Fi's authors do. This book is for those who love Romances .chicklits with a hint of Supernatural and Sci-Fi served on the side in meat format. Parts of the book reminded me of the movie Starring Josh Jackson Cursed with a hint of Keri Arthur's Riley Jenson series.

The Heart of a Warrior by Margaret West was "OMG" phenomenal!  Becoming enthralled from the first sentence I couldn't put this book down until I finished it!

Belinda Carter escapes to Arizona looking for some comfort from her father as she is going through a nasty divorce.  Upon her arrival,  she finds a distaste for several people who claim to be helping her father and that her dad is actually in the hospital recovering from a heart attack.

Though her dad has told her much about the Navajo that live on a Res nearby her fathers home,  Belinda seems to keep putting her foot in her mouth when she meets Yuma,  the Navajo Chief.

She is worried about her father and wanting at the same time for the Navajo Clan to like her for her,  not because she is her Harry's daughter.  She finally gets to see her dad after a fight about visiting hours,  where she was going to sleep,  and apologizing for making the Chief angry.

While trying to keep the peace with Yuma,  Belinda is also worried about her fathers store,  which she is sure that is on its downfall and that the current caretakers are running it,  and her fathers good name into the desert ground.  She doesn't trust Jez Landsdowne any farther than she can throw him and he continually proves his actions to be dishonest.

When Aponi,  (Yuma's niece) and Belinda go for a night swim,  Jez once again proves his ill intentions and Yuma must come to the rescue.  This is when their relationship begins to flourish,  even though they are continually butting heads.

West did a fantastic job with The Heart of a Warrior.  The plot was perfect,  with added humor I found myself laughing at times,  angry at others while rooting for Belinda to come out on the winning side.  I really liked Yuma's stubborness and Belinda's feistiness,  West did a great job mixing the chemistry between these two.

The only thing I was left with was wanting more at the end of this title.
West did a superb job capturing the essence of Native Americans  and it will definitely capture your heart!  I give it ***** (5) Stars,  BK Walker,  http://bkwalkerbooks.weebly.com
